Medical instruments are used by healthcare professionals to examine, maintain our health and diagnose potential problems within our bodies. The objects used have a strong impact on our lives which overall results in us knowing about our body’s internal workings and allowing us to be able to heal any issues.

To highlight the impact that these objects have on our lives, I have cast medical tools using latex, a material similar to our own. The stitching relates to how surgical stitching is the main physical sign of medical intervention. As the objects are hanging, the form of the objects become less recognisable as it’s original object.
